Ross Daly is a talented musician with a unique vision and
passion. His formal music training, on violin, viola and piano, was through the
Classical stream culminating with a Bachelor of Music Degree in Performance
from the University of Toronto (1987), after having attended the Royal
Conservatory of Music (Toronto) for many years.
After several years of
performing in the symphonic scene in such orchestras as the Kitchener Waterloo
Symphony, Hamilton Philharmonic, Thunder Bay, Windsor and Niagara Symphonies,
Ross ventured into other styles of music including Jazz, Latin, Celtic, New
Age, Pop and Rock, and also began composing some truly original
works. |

Ross has honed
his music arranging skills over the past 32 years having written hundreds of
scores for string duos, trios, quartets, ensembles and symphony orchestra. He
also performs in and arranges all the music for
Mannheim Virtuosi and
The Classical Rock
Show.
For
the past 10 years, he has toured with Bounty Enterprises tribute show
productions to ABBA (ABBA-Mania), Bee Gees (Night Fever), Rod
Stewart (Forever Young), Tom Jones,
Tina Turner, Neil
Diamond (Solitary Man), Ray Charles,
Engelbert Humperdinck, Elvis (Steven Kabakos), Glitter Sisters (Disco Chicks) as electric
violinist, keyboardist and/or orchestra music arranger and conductor. He has
also on occasion stepped in as "Maurice Gibb" in the Bee Gees show "Night
Fever". Ross recently conducted the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra with the
ABBA-Mania and Bee Gees shows.
In partnership with his musician-wife, Angela Cox-Daly, Ross is
the co-founder of the "Daly Music Academy", as well as music education director
and instructor. In addition, he enjoys adjudicating at music festivals and
competitions. Together, Ross & Angela also manage the entertainment agency
"Daly Live Music &
Entertainment" which provides live music and entertainment for all types of
special events - worldwide! Their three children are musician members of the
wonderful Kitchener Waterloo Youth Orchestra programme.

Angela
Cox-Daly has been a member of the Kitchener Waterloo Symphony (KWS) since
1988 as second associate concertmaster until 2003. After a playing related
injury and almost three years off, Angela gratefully returned as a first
section violinist. She is an active chamber music performer in Canada and the
United States and has appeared as soloist with various chamber and symphony
orchestras. Angela was on scholarship at the Royal Conservatory of Music
(Toronto) in the Course for Gifted Students for seven years and was a recipient
of over one hundred awards and scholarships in both piano and violin prior to
graduating from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Music in
Performance degree.
Angela enjoys a versatile career including
performing with Bounty Enterprises tribute show productions to
ABBA (ABBA-Mania), Bee Gees
(Night Fever), Rod Stewart (Forever Young),

Chris Sharpe

Christopher Sharpe has been a member of the
Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony (KWS) since 1979. Chris came to Wilfrid Laurier
Orchestra in 1979 and graduated with a Bachelor of Music Performance degree in
1982, at which time he became a full-time member of the KWS. He has held the
position of Associate Principal 'Cellist since 1985.
In addition to his
KWS work, Chris has been a cello teacher, chamber musician, and the conductor
of the KWS Junior and Intermediate Youth Orchestras. He served several years as
KWS Personnel Manager and briefly served as Acting General Manager for the KWS.
He has also designed and maintained several business websites over the years,
including the site you are now visiting.
